Svilen Gamolov Cage Chair

source – designyoutrust.com

The pursuit of industrial design is often a perilous slope, with a combination of unforgiving materials and minimalist applications making aesthetic achievement a difficult prospect, but Svilen Gamolov’s ‘Cage’ chair succeeds where others have failed. The chair, which combines a frame made up of steel and wood with an upholstered seat, demonstrates Gamolov’s ability to interplay industrial aspects with necessary comforts. Ultimately, the ‘Cage’ succeeds because all of the careful thoughts and efforts incorporated in it remain so highly unified that they are concealed to the viewer, as they should be.

Cube Chair by Svilen Gamolov

source – freshome.com/ Author: Michael

Although still at the concept stage the “Cube Chair” by Svilen Gamolov provides an interesting example of modern design. The chair, which combines futurist design elements of the 1950’s with modern sensibility, is designed to envelope the user, creating a comfortable and stylized space. I hope to see more creative pieces of modern furniture like these, and I can’t wait to see the Gamolov’s ‘Cube Chair’ fully realized.

Fjaril Drawer System by Jakob Jørgensen

source – freshome.com Author: Michael

From time to time as you might have noticed we like to post some things that are a little bit unusual. For example today I would like to present  Fjaril, a drawer system designed by Danish designer Jakob Jørgensen. Fjaril is one of his many projects which distinguishes itself with its beautiful sculptural nature and fine craftsmanship. As Jakob describes it, it goes from being a simple box into a functional sculpture. This drawer system expands rhythmically and go in this movement from being a simple box to be a functional sculpture.

Breathtaking Home and Exceptional Views in Byron Bay, Australia

source – freshome.com/ Author: Lavinia
Located in Byron Bay, Aystralia, this breathtaking home really caught our attention. The stone walls and wooden elements of the house are impressive design elements, but what can really leave one speechless is the natural environment. The lush vegetation and numerous palm trees make this a dream place to live in. However the developers of this project added extra features in order to grow interest in this property. Two fantastic pool “guard” the place and a fancy lighting system provides a nice atmosphere for late night swimming. The interior is modern, with contemporary furniture items. The Italian kitchen is all-equipped and has stainless steel work surfaces. In spite of all its luxurious features, do you think this residence lacks anything?- via Desire to Inspire

Wall covering that changes its color

This new wall covering called Change It comes from designer Amirkhan Abdurakhmanov. As its name implies, it may take on many forms. So how does it work? It is actually made of turn-triangles, each of which has a white side, black side, and unique rainbow shade. Turn them to create your own masterpiece. You can even write words, leave messages, or test out your art skills! Cool, right? Even when all the triangles are facing the same way, Change It still makes a pretty bold style statement.

Modern Furniture The Sony Fusion

Despite having a large empty desk and a room at home devoted entirely to being an office space, my laptop pretty much lives on my coffee table.  I’m not really sure why, it just always winds up this way –  probably has something to do with constantly multitasking.

Luckily someone at Sony must have been experiencing the same thing. The Sony Fusion is a coffee table with a built in laptop! A simple push of a button converts the table into a work station with a touch sensitive keyboard and adjustable screen.  It’s not available yet, but this brilliant concept is expected to be in production soon, in three different colors and around $3000.

A Breathtaking Residential Project in Peru by JSª Architects

source – freshome.com author – Lavinia

JSª is a team of architects from Mexico City. They recently developed this breathtaking residential project situated by the beach in Lima, the capital of Peru. The location couldn’t be better- a peaceful area located not far away from the urban madness, where all the major events take place. A white and captivating exterior, with large windows draws attention to the building that houses 4 apartments. Stone stairs connect the levels on the outside.  A beautiful pool completes the mystical feel of this residential wonder. The interior design is modern and minimalist, with interesting furniture items and original color arrangements. We don’t know why the building is called “22″, but we really like its name. -via Platforma Arquitectura

Fashionable Home in Denver, A Showcase of Luxury And Style

source – freshome.com Author: Lavinia

Located in Cherry Creek, one of the most “trendy” neighborhoods in Denver, this property amazes through luxury, style and design. The fashionable home catches one’s attention from a great distance, due to its large windows and the combination of stone and stainless steel used to style up the exterior. The overall costs of this building were $4,695,000, a striking sum, but one that justifies what the place houses. When stepping inside, a live-life-to-the-fullest interior is revealed. The residence features an impressive wine room, a library, an indoor office and of course, a well defined entrainment area. We also like the interior design of this house, with interesting furniture elements and the inspiring decorating ideas. We are waiting for you to highlight the things you enjoy seeing and the ones you dislike in the pictures below. -via DigsDigs
