The guys at netbooked.net got their hands on the Lenovo IdeaPad S10-3t tablet convertible netbook. Their model came with an Atom N450 processor, Windows 7 Home Premium and a 8-cell battery.
Read on the rest of their review…
Lenovo IdeaPad S10-3t
- 10.1” 1024 x 600 display
- capacitive multi touch display
- Intel Atom N450 processor
- 1GB RAM
- 250GB HDD
- Windows 7 Home Premium
- 8-Cell battery
- 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi
- Bluetooth
- APS protection, Dolby Headphone
- 1.54 kg / 3.4 pounds
First impressions are that it is extremely heavy for a 10 inch netbook (surpasses the the 12-inch UL20A in weight) and the keyboard and touchpad feel a little flimsy and cheap, though usable. Haven’t played around with the touchscreen much yet as I will run through my battery tests first. No accelerometer but there’s at least a button on the screen bezel for rotating the screen. Capacitive multi touch screen seems to be responsive to very light touches as you’d expect.

HTC HD2 gets Windows Phone 7 OS port, released before official devices!

Don’t look surprised. With the Windows Phone 7 Series dev tools now out in the open the pent up demand for that elusive HD2 upgrade was bound to be a priority for some well-meaning developers, somewhere… namely, Russia. Now we’ve got what looks to be the first screenies of the WP7S OS running on an HD2. Better yet, htcpedia claims that almost everything is working including WiFi, GPS, and Bluetooth. However, the graphics driver is still showing problems and there is noticeable device lag. Nevertheless, the team is planning a beta release soon. Imagine it, an HD2 WP7S ROM available before Microsoft and its partners can even launch an official device, with its 5 buttons or not — now that would be something. One more grab after the break, the rest at the source below.

Roof Outdoor Pools, How Cool is That?

Global Architectural Development have recently come up with an architecture design that left us speechless. Located in Bodrum, Turkey, an important tourist attraction during the summer season, this amazing home comes with two original surprises. Most residences stick to a common roof built out of tiles, shingles and so on. Not this particular home, though. Instead of a regular house covering architecture plan, the team over at GAD decided that they should cover the house with pools that collect rain water. This unusual residence has three distinct buildings that are connected through a glass atrium. The exterior is unique in shape and style. The rooms are all light and airy and the roof water keeps the house cool during the summer. Pretty impressive, don’t you agree?

Well beginning of April, you sure do like tablets for $499, don’t ya? While the Eee PC T101MT has been available to suave Europeans since February, ASUS has let out word that the 10-inch, multitouch tablet will start shipping in the US sometime in April for $499. Not a bad deal considering the Pine Trail-powered netvertible has been priced around 499 Euros overseas — though we’re unsure at this point of the final specs of the American T101MT and what version of Windows 7 it will boot. We’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for it at the usual retailers, but before you head out and buy one you may want to wait on our upcoming full review to see how this thing measures up to the other netvertibles out there.
PVI shows off color and video e-paper in China

Prime View International — the company responsible for pumping e-ink screens into Amazon’s Kindles — has recently shown off some color and video screens at a trade show in Shenzhen, China. The company has been showing off the displays in 6 and 9.7-inch varieties, one of which could fit perfectly into the 6-inch Kindle, of course. While there’s been no real indication that Amazon is interested in transitioning to color or video-boasting readers, but it’s not completely inconceivable considering the recent competition it’s facing. Hit the source link to check out a video featuring the color displays that were on show.
